PORON® EVExtend® is a family of polyurethane battery pad materials engineered to meet the demanding sealing and cushioning needs of EV and HEV applications. Designed for modern lithium-ion batteries—including pouch, prismatic, and solid-state cells—this material delivers exceptional long-term durability and maintains consistent support even as cells expand and contract.

Features
  • Flat Compression Force Deflection (CFD) Curve — provides a consistent pushback force throughout battery life.
  • Tight Compression Set Control — maximum of 5% at 70 °C (per ASTM D3574), ensuring retained dimensions and performance.
  • PORON EVExtend 43:
    • Thickness: 0.039″ to 0.118″ (1–3 mm)
    • Density: 7 to 20 lb/ft³ (112–320 kg/m³)
  • PORON EVExtend 71:
    • Higher density: 20 to 25 lb/ft³ (320–400 kg/m³)
    • Suitable for rigid prismatic and solid-state cell applications
