expanSil™ US2D is a closed-cell silicone sponge extrusion family designed for extreme temperature sealing and long-life performance in demanding environments. Through our preferred supplier relationship, SRP helps customers identify the right US2D grade and source the material for aerospace, defense, and other applications that require reliable sealing performance with specification-driven material requirements.
The US2D range is formulated to meet ASTM D1056 2D1, 2D2, 2D3, and 2D4 requirements and is commonly used for aerospace sealing profiles, cords, and joined rings. The broader family also includes expanSil™ US350 and US400, AMS-approved medium-density extruded silicone sponge options used where low compression set performance is required.
