Aerospace Silicone Sponge Extrusions
expanSil™ US2D
Closed-cell silicone sponge extrusions for aerospace sealing—ASTM D1056 2D grades and AMS-approved options for low compression set performance
The expanSil™ US / US2D family is a closed-cell silicone sponge extrusion range designed for extreme temperature sealing and long-life performance in demanding environments. The US2D range is formulated to meet ASTM D1056 2D1, 2D2, 2D3, and 2D4 requirements and is commonly used in aerospace and defense for sealing profiles, cords, and joined rings.
The family also includes expanSil™ US350 (AMS 3195) and expanSil™ US400 (AMS 3196)—medium-density, extruded silicone sponge options used where low compression set is required in aerospace defense and other industrial applications.
