KLINGERSIL® C-4201
Overview
Thermoseal’s KLINGERSIL C-4201 is a general application gasket material that offers excellent resistance to oils and solvents and is an excellent choice for OEM applications. This compressed fiber gasket material is manufactured with a combination of synthetic fibers reinforced with a nitrile binder.
Features
- Excellent chemical resistance – Effective with water, steam, oils, fuels, and many chemicals
- Reinforced with aramid fibers and NBR binder – Provides strong mechanical strength and flexibility
- Suitable for temperatures up to 250°C (482°F)
- Good compressibility and recovery – Seals well on uneven flange surfaces and under varying bolt loads
- High creep and relaxation resistance – Maintains reliable sealing over time under thermal and mechanical stress
- Asbestos-free and environmentally safe
- Commonly used in chemical, petrochemical, power generation, and industrial applications
