High temperature materials deliver reliable performance in both severe cold and extreme heat, prolonging the life of components, while making them run more efficiently. We can die-cut these materials and convert them into custom shapes to meet your requirements.
Common High Temperature Gasket Materials
Silicone400°F (260°C) – Silicone materials offer resistance to temperature extremes, UV and ozone, extremely resilient to mechanical fatigue, excellent compression-set and creep resistance and are compliant with the most stringent UL flame ratings.
Fluorosilicone400°F (260°C) – Fluorosilicone materials are flexible, compressible and designed for use in extreme temperature ranges with excellent weatherability, compression set resistance, electrical strength and non-stick properties.
Fluoroelastomer (Viton®)500°F (260°C) Viton® materials offer excellent chemical resistance, excellent weatherability and ozone resistance, excellent gas and liquid permeation resistance, good mechanical properties, improving sealing performance.
Compressed Aramid Fiber700°F (371°C) – These materials are typically resistant to oils, water, steam, gases, salt solutions, fuels, alcohols, moderate organic and inorganic acids, hydrocarbons, lubricants, and refrigerants.
Nomex®392°F (200°C) – Nomex® delivers exceptional thermal stability, mechanical toughness, dielectric strength, flame resistance and a broad chemical compatibility.
Teflon™ PTFE500°F (260°C) – Teflon™ has many advantages including chemical resistance, dielectric properties, low friction, no embrittlement or aging, waterproof, corrosion resistance, high thermal stability and flame resistance and resistance to weathering.
