PORON® 4701-40 is a soft microcellular polyurethane foam engineered for exceptional compression performance in gasketing, sealing, and vibration management across industries such as electronics, automotive, renewable energy, HVAC, and medical.
Features
- Soft density—available densities of 15, 20, or 30 lb/ft³ (240, 320, 480 kg/m³)
- Thickness range from 0.031″ to 0.500″ (0.79 mm to 12.7 mm)
- Compression force deflection at 25%: approximately 5, 11, or 25 psi (41, 76, or 173 kPa) depending on density
- Excellent dimensional stability and long-term durability under fluctuating temperatures
- Resistant to compression set, maintaining performance over time
- Compatible with die-cutting fabrication for custom gasket shapes
- Meets flame safety standards (e.g., UL 94 HBF) and exhibits UV and ozone resistance
